The Silenced Dancer is the artistic and legacy arm of the Logan Alan Beckwith (LAB) Foundation, a nonprofit organization established in honor of Logan Alan Beckwith professional ballet dancer, artist, and advocate whose life was devoted to the discipline and soul of dance.
Born from lived experience and shaped by loss, the LAB Foundation exists to protect young lives through creative expression, mental health awareness, and tangible support for dancers and families. We invest in talent, wellness, and access ensuring that no dancer’s voice, future, or humanity is overlooked.
Dance is not extracurricular.
Mental health is not optional.

Our Mission
The Logan Alan Beckwith (LAB) Foundation is a nonprofit organization committed to advancing mental health awareness, suicide awareness dialogue, and youth empowerment through creative expression and dance.
Founded by his mother in honor of Logan Alan Beckwith, the Foundation addresses the realities of mental illness and the gaps in awareness by providing education, resources, scholarships, and safe, supportive environments where healing and resilience are possible.
Our mission is action driven, informed by lived experience, and grounded in the belief that creativity saves lives.
Our Vision
We envision a world where every child has the opportunity to express themselves creatively, receive access to mental health support, and thrive emotionally, mentally, and physically.

This vision is grounded in the lived experience of a mother who lost her son to suicide after seeking help from over 20 medical professionals and finding that true prevention was never an option. That truth is not up for debate.
The LAB Foundation stands to raise awareness, not argue for systems that failed to act. We exist to shine light on mental illness, support families, and use the power of dance and creative expression to build safe, healing spaces for youth around the world.

Dance For Dreams Initiative
The Dance for Dreams Initiative aims to transform the lives of children in Africa and America by providing them with the resources, training, and exposure needed to pursue their passion for dance. By fostering a global community of support and raising mental health/suicidal awareness through compelling storytelling, this program will uplift individual children and inspire others to join in the mission of empowering the next generation of dancers.
